So last night before hitting the "Black Food Truck Festival Finale" stage, I shared with the Fellas how last night would possibly be my last show for a while.
Doctors have found a polyp on my vocal cords and after almost a year now of trying to figure it out, nothing is getting better. Of course, the doctors suggest & recommend surgery, but that's not an option for me.
This thing makes it almost impossible to do even a full show & it can also get to be extremely painful. So, I've decided to take time off from the stage for a long time to recover and research and do a series of therapy sessions to heal properly.
There are many of you that have supported my journey in more ways than I can count, so I wanted to share the big news with y'all!
The stage is where I love to be but to be on it, I've got to take care of me.
I'm taking y'all on this recovery trip! SO y'all can keep me accountable and make sure that I do what I need to do! I have a few shows booked already for the rest of the year, so you'll see do those but for the most part, we are inside! LOL!
